Aside from the small matter of a major console launch, Super Mario 3D World was released in the Americas today after yesterday’s Japanese release and a 7-8 day wait for PAL regions. Painful, right? Like me, are you a European longing for the week late release of Super Mario 3D World? If do you live in the UK and were one of these folk, then you may be in luck! Because upon November 29th on the PAL release, Super Mario 3D World will be available to purchase a retail – and more importantly in a new Mega Mario Bundle on the Nintendo UK Online Store.
As with the 3DS, Nintendo aren’t shy to expand on bundles to the struggling system, but the possibility of trekking through the UK for this Mega Mario Bundle sounds like a sweet deal. For £299.99 (the equivalent of $485 USD), bundle buyers can be treated to: a Wii U Premium Pack, Super Mario 3D World, New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, a snazzy Mario hat (size unknown), and a limited edition Mario Wii Remote Plus (Mario hand not included). *breathes*
Considering the original bundle with the Wii U Premium with New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U is currently listed as £249.99 ($405) and the Mario Wii Remote Plus is £39.99 ($65) more, it’s not hard to tell that this is a sweet deal. Considering all of these items with Super Mario 3D World bought separately would cost £49.99 ($81) more, it doesn’t take a Starman to realize that this bundle is an awesome buy. The bundle can be pre-ordered online here, but it is unknown whether the bundle will be appearing soon in retail. Nevertheless, bring on November 29th! Shame Luigi didn’t get his own bundle in his own year though…
Are you a fellow Brit officially swooned over by this new bundle? Or are you outside of the UK silently waiting for the Mega Mario Bundle to cross the shores? Be sure to punch that comment box below.
Wait, Mega Mario Bundle? Nice touch Nintendo.
