At E3 back in June, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima showed off a gameplay demo for The Phantom Pain in which Big Boss infiltrated an enemy base in Afghanistan. Kojima also brought the Afghanistan demo to Gamescom, but this time things were quite different. A focal point of The Phantom Pain is that you can take on every mission in a nearly infinite number of different ways, and the game adapts and learns along with you.
