Nintendo’s new mobile app, Miitomo, is doing spectacularly, topping the iOS and Android charts worldwide upon its release. It was downloaded more than 1 million times in Japan within the first three days of its release, and more than 3 million times worldwide by April 1st, two weeks after its initial Japanese launch.

According to
Sensor Tower, a site that tracks mobile app purchases and downloads worldwide, Miitomo hit over 1.6 million downloads in the U.S. alone in its first four days. That number is sure to be much higher by now, as it doesn’t include downloads for most of the past week, and the game spent almost all of that time at #1 on the App Store.

Miitomo has been successful worldwide, but it is clear that its success in the United States and Japan far exceeds its success in other places. 51% of non-Japanese downloads of the game were exclusively in the United States. France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada followed the U.S. on the list, but none comprised more than 10% of the game’s downloads.

What do you guys think? Did you download
Miitomo? If so, what did you think? Let us know in the comments below!
