It took a long time, but indie sensation Minecraft finally launched on Wii U late last year. Rewarding fans for their patience, Nintendo recently released the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack. The free update added new textures, 40 different character skins, 15 pieces of music from the classic Super Mario 64, and a massive, pre-made Mario world to explore.
Unfortunately, there are already reports surfacing that copyright strikes are being filed against people who upload Super Mario Mash-Up videos to YouTube. Developer 4J Studios (who handled the Wii U port of the game) says they were assured by Nintendo that this would not happen, and they’re currently following up with Nintendo to see what the issue is.
We're hearing reports of copyright strikes on Super Mario Mash-Up videos. We were assured this wouldn't happen. Following up with Nintendo.
