Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is about to be released in two weeks, and EA decided to ride that wave of hype by announcing a Mirror’s Edge TV series. President of Endemol Shine Studios Sharon Hall helped announce the news today and expressed her excitement for the upcoming show. Endemol Shine Studios worked on a number of television series, including Hell on Wheels, Big Brother, The Biggest Loser, and MasterChef.
“We clearly see Mirror’s Edge as a franchise for the global TV audience. It has a strong female protagonist, a wildly rabid fan base and a worldwide brand that Electronic Arts and EA DICE have done an amazing job establishing.” — Sharon Hall
As of this article, it is not certain whether the Mirror’s Edge TV series will be animated or live-action. EA and Endemol Shine Studios have not announced a concrete date for Mirror’s Edge‘s first episode, either.
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is scheduled to be released on June 7th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
