When Super Mario Run was revealed, Shigeru Miyamoto talked about how he wanted to preserve the simplicity of Mario games in this new mobile title. However, this doesn’t mean that the entire game will be easy. In a recent interview with IGN, Miyamoto reassured fans that the game will include challenging levels.

“A big point with this game is, ‘How can we make this a game that people who aren’t good at games can play the game and enjoy it?’ But also at the same time, we’ve been making Mario games for a long time, and we know how to make them challenging. So if you’re a Mario fan, I don’t think you have to worry about that part of it.” — Shigeru Miyamoto

Are you glad to hear that Super Mario Run will still provide a challenge while remaining simple to play? What kind of difficult levels would you like to see in the game? Let us know in the comments below!

Writing is half of my life. Video games make up the other half. I decided to put these two hobbies together and join Gamnesia back in 2015. I spend most of my time working at a retail store and paying off my student debt. When I'm not getting stressed about the thousands of dollars I owe my loan providers, I play tons of video games (which just puts me into more debt). I'm also currently writing a novel in what little spare time I have. It's a story I've been wanting to write for a while, but I don't want to talk about it until I have most of it completed. Any Gamnesia-related inquiries may be sent to [email protected] Feel free to follow my personal Twitter if you want (@Pindlo). I mostly just retweet things.
