Even if you aren’t a competitive Smash Bros. player or big fan of the GameCube controller, you’ll still probably find this Nintendo 2DS mod really cool. The same man who made it possible to record Nintendo 3DS footage with special on-board video cards just so happens to have a new trick up his sleeve. Loopy, creator of the aforementioned Nintendo 3DS video board has managed to somehow wire his old GameCube controller to his Nintendo 2DS in order to play games with the controller, an amazing feat by any standards.

“What I do to amuse myself. I re-purposed an old capture board. Along with the standard buttons, the GC analog stick is also mapped to the 3DS d-pad. C-stick also goes to Y/X/B/A.” — Loopy

In the video above, Loopy can be seen playing the ever-so-popular Nintendo 3DS launch title, Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition.
