In an interview with Game Informer, Monolith Soft head Tetsuya Takahashi said the studio isn’t looking to create a massively-multiplayer online game any time soon. The studio’s latest title,
Xenoblade Chronicles X, has online multiplayer features that made some fans wonder if Monolith Soft was gearing up to make a full-fledged MMO as their next project.

Takahashi explains:

“I feel that, although I really like MMOs, I think that’s a completely different kind of beast in terms of developing one of those. So that’s not something we’re really thinking about at the moment. We still are always thinking about multiplayer for future projects, because we feel like having multiplayer in a really big world tends to work out really well.”

A few of my all-time favourite video games include The Legend of Zeldas: Twilight Princess and Majora's Mask, Mass Effect 2, Rayman 2, and most importantly, Xenoblade. If I ever catch you making a "really feeling it" joke in our comments, you can bet your ass I'll hide it, you casual scum.
