Capcom has an absolute monster of a hit on their hands. Monster Hunter: World launched early this year to strong reviews and even stronger sales. In just a couple of months, it became Capcom’s highest-selling game of all time, which also gave Capcom its most profitable year ever. In the months since then, its sales have climbed even higher, and there’s no end in sight.
According to Capcom’s latest financial report, Monster Hunter: World has now sold over 8.3 million copies, which is up 400,000 over May’s numbers. So far Monster Hunter: World is only available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it debuts on PC next week. With a whole new market to tap into soon, Capcom’s most successful game ever could soon top 10 million.
