It looks like Kratos will be sitting out of this round of Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat X‘s Executive Producer Shaun Himmerick recently revealed a few details about the game in a interview with Hardcore Gamer, and one of the most significant pieces of information to come out of the interview is that, contrary to past reports and tweets from series producer Ed Boon, there will be no console-exclusive characters.

“We have no platform exclusive characters planned for MKX,” Himmerick told Hardcore Gamer, laying to rest any possible speculation that came from Ed Boon’s previous vague tweet about Twisted Metal‘s Sweet Tooth making a appearance, as he would have to be a PlayStation-Exclusive.

DLC characters are still possible though, as it has already been announced that the four-armed Goro will be a preorder exclusive character available on all platforms.

Mortal Kombat X releases on April 14th, 2015, for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
