Despite promises of a 2015 release, Renegade Kid’s co-founder Jools Watsham took to Twitter to deliver the news that Mutant Mudds Super Challenge will be delayed until early 2016. It looks like we will have to wait just a little bit longer until the next game in the Mutant Mudds series, but with 40 brand new levels, this game is sure to keep us busy until Mutant Mudds 2 is announced.

According to Jools Watsham, “Due to the yummy goodness we’re cramming in; Mutant Mudds Super Challenge will launch in early 2016. Sorry 4 delay.”

The original Mutant Mudds was developed and published by Renegade Kid for the Nintendo 3DS, PC, and iOS, while the Wii U, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita release saw a special version titled Mutant Mudds Deluxe which added 20 new ghost levels. According to Renegade Kid, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge will feature “a fresh platforming challenge” and picks up right after the ending of the original. So far, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge has only been announced for Wii U and 3DS.
