Guacamelee! is an indie game developed by Drinkbox Studios that first released last year to good reviews. Now the game will be hitting most current and last-gen consoles a second time with Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition.

This new version of the Metroidvania brawler is similar to a Director’s Cut edition of the original game. There are new areas to explore, new costumes that change your characters’ stats, optional challenge rooms, and all the DLC from the original game. It also features new abilities, such as the Intenso power. Limited by a range meter, Intenso boosts your life, attack, and other stats for a short time. It can be extended by executing combos on enemies.

You can see the demo for the Super Turbo Championship Edition above, and play it “very early” this summer on either Wii U, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Name's Drew. Currently making my way through Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series and waiting for The Winds of Winter (A Song of Ice and Fire 6). I'm a subscriber to Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Universe, and Mega Man and I read Superior Spider-man when I can. I'm a pretty big Nintendo fan, but enjoy the other companies as well. As it stands, I have a Wii U and a new gaming desktop (3.5ghz processor, 2GB video card, 8GB RAM with support for 32GB) and plan on getting a PS4 in 2014. As for Xbox One, we'll see, but I'm sure I'll add it eventually.
