During a Final Fantasy XV panel at PAX West 2016, Square Enix showed off a new sidequest from the game, alongside a couple of other bonuses. Hajime Tabata, the game’s director, was there to narrate over the footage, in addition to other members of the development team. In the gameplay, protagonist Noctis and his party explore a cave full of enemies, and then things take a lighter turn by participating in a Chocobo race. The team also introduces a brand new mechanical enemy, which will require players to change up their fighting style before taking down.
You can check out the footage above. The gameplay starts at around 24 minutes, and carries on throughout the video, starting and stopping as the development team switches between areas.
Final Fantasy XV was recently delayed, and it is now due to launch on November 29th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
