Nintendo’s latest handheld console certainly has a few tricks up its sleeve when it comes to downloading games. In a recent side-by-side test of the New Nintendo 3DS and the older Nintendo 3DS XL, the former showed that it could download games faster than its older cousin.

In the video of this test, we see the two 3DS consoles downloading a digital demo version of Medarot 8 at the same time. The New 3DS (on the right) finishes its download of the game around a minute before the older 3DS XL (on the left) does. The two consoles were using the same firmware and network to download the game.
