Last month Nintendo surprised us by announcing that The Legend of Zelda for Wii U will be the only playable Nintendo game at E3, and the upcoming game will be the focus of Nintendo’s E3 in general. Nintendo elaborated more on their E3 plans via press release, revealing that they’ll be transforming their booth at E3 “to immerse fans in the world of the newest game in The Legend of Zelda franchise” with extended demos for the game.
Additionally, Nintendo announced that Reggie Fils-Aime will be introducing the Nintendo Treehouse Live team for a special day of livestreamed gameplay of
The Legend of Zelda, including commentary from developers. The stream kicks off at 9:00 AM Pacific Time on June 14th. A lucky fan and a companion will be able to enjoy the action in person via a Twitter sweepstakes. Simply tweet @NintendoAmerica and talk about what The Legend of Zelda means to you with the tags #MyZeldaLegend and #NintendoSweepstakes for a chance to win. So far, Nintendo has not announced a more traditional E3 press conference or Nintendo Direct.
