And we’re back! A lengthy Nintendo Direct was originally scheduled for Thursday, September 6th, but the earthquake that struck Hokkaido, Japan caused Nintendo to delay the broadcast. We’ve seen lots of evidence over the past week that the new date for the Direct will be September 13th, and now we finally have official word from Nintendo on the matter.
Nintendo has just announced via social media that the Direct will indeed air tomorrow, September 13th. The broadcast goes live at 3:00 PM Pacific / 6:00 PM Eastern. That’s 11:00 PM in the UK and midnight in Europe. The Direct will still be 35 minutes as previously planned, which is longer than most. As usual, we’ll be streaming it all live right here at Gamnesia and covering the exciting news as it breaks.
The Nintendo Direct initially scheduled for 9/6 will now debut this Thursday, 9/13, at 3pm PT. The broadcast will last approximately 35 minutes, and will feature information about upcoming Nintendo #3DS and #NintendoSwitch titles.https://t.co/vZbh2Ng6u1 pic.twitter.com/rwQXYOCIzu
