Just last week, Nintendo announced a pretty sweet looking Limited Edition version of Majora’s Mask for 3DS owners in North America, which includes a now highly sought after Skull Kid statue in addition to the game. Unfortunately, pre-orders for the limited edition bundle sold out within hours, causing many fans to become frustrated over the limited availability of the bundle. Nintendo’s customer service team has since addressed fan complaints, encouraging those who missed out to “check your local retailer once the game is released to see if there are limited edition versions available for purchase.” Apart from aforementioned advice and a pinch of empathy, it doesn’t look like Nintendo has much to offer in terms of additional shipments.
“We’d like to thank you for taking the time to write to us with your feedback regarding the Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask Limited Edition bundle. Your comments will be made available for other departments at the company to review and thoughtfully consider.
“As all Legend of Zelda fans know, it can be frustrating to see the item you want and not be able to get to it, and we sincerely empathize. It’s a challenge with limited edition products, as they tend to sell out quickly because of their popularity.
“We also empathize with seeing those same limited edition products pop up on auction sites. Once consumers buy a product they are free to re-sell it if they wish. I encourage you to check your local retailer once the game is released to see if there are limited edition versions available for purchase. I wish you the best of luck in getting one!”

If you were one of the lucky few to get your hands on a limited edition
Majora’s Mask bundle this past week, congratulations! If you weren’t, you may want to watch for any additional shipments that may become available in the months leading up to the game’s release. From what we know now, it doesn’t look like any additional pre-orders will be available, but it doesn’t hurt to keep a watchful eye.
