Nintendo is aggressively expanding into other mediums, while also working its video game roots into their new plans. To match their plans for utilizing other technologies, Nintendo is growing a branch in the company: the Business Development department.
The Business Development department will be responsible for overseeing Nintendo’s entry into new markets. Their current work includes the newly announced NFP project and Nintendo’s Mario Kart TV application for smart devices. I’ll take a guess and say that the Business Development department is also helping in the creation of the Quality of Life product Nintendo is working on.
Now that we know where Nintendo’s plans for expansion come from, we know who is overseeing a vast amount of the company’s future. Let’s hope Business Development does a good job in the coming years.
