Nintendo is banking on nostalgia this holiday season by releasing the NES Classic Edition—a plug and play console loaded up with thirty games from yesteryear. In Japan, Nintendo instead launched a Mini Famicom (the Japanese predecessor to the NES) with a slightly different lineup of games. The NES Classic Edition has been sold out all over in the West, and it looks like the Mini Famicom is a pretty big hit in Japan. According to popular Japanese publication Famitsu, the Mini Famicom has sold 262,961 units in just four days on the market. Not a bad start!
