Wii U exclusive title Devil’s Third was met with heavy criticism from nearly everyone who reviewed it at launch, resulting in developer Tomonobu Itagaki blaming critics and calling them unskilled. Later, he called the review scores unfair on the grounds that the multiplayer mode wasn’t yet incorporated. If the game’s multiplayer mode can be seen as its saving grace, we’ve got some bad news for its players.
Nintendo has announced that they’ll be shutting down
Devil’s Third‘s online multiplayer on December 28th. Nintendo will also stop selling Golden Eggs (the in-game currency) to players on June 27th, 2016 at 9:00 AM Pacific Time. As a result, Nintendo is reducing the price of a digital copy of the game to $29.99, effective today. These change apply to Japan, North America, and Europe.
