This has been a big week for Smash Bros. fans, as Wednesday’s Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct featured the announcement of two brand new characters, three new Echo Fighters, new game modes, new items, and more. However, fans in Europe got an extra little announcement courtesy of Nintendo of Europe’s Twitter account.

According to a recent tweet, Nintendo will be releasing a limited edition version of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in Europe. This edition will come in a box with the Smash Bros. Ultimate character mural that has been featured in the game’s promotional material, and it will include a copy of the game, a GameCube controller, and a GameCube controller adapter.

Currently, this limited edition has not been announced for any other regions, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see this limited edition or something like it released in other regions. If it isn’t, at least all of the items will be available outside of the limited edition bundle, and since the Switch is region-free, fans in other regions can import this limited edition bundle if they really want to.

What do you guys think? Would you like to see this limited edition bundle in other regions outside of Europe? Let us know in the comments!

Greetings Gamnesiacs! I'm Elijah Holt, a Associate Editor coming at you live from beautiful Alabama. My love for gaming started at an early age and has ingrained a love for two different gaming companies in my mind. On one side, my love of the Nintendo 64 and my countless hours spent perfecting the first few levels of Super Mario 64 (I was never good enough to get past those...maybe if they release it for the Wii U eShop someday...) resulted in my love for everything Nintendo; meanwhile, I also owned an original PlayStation, which has resulted in me currently owning a PS3 and PS4 for a few Sony exclusives and third-party titles. I'm a recent graduate of Auburn University, where I majored in Software Engineering. I currently work in DevOps as an Automation Engineer.
