Nintendo has been performing frequent, extensive maintenance on 3DS and Wii U’s online functions and services in recent weeks (likely in preparation for the upcoming launch of My Nintendo), and they’ve just added a lot more maintenance windows to their schedule. Brace yourself for downtime, Nintendo fans.
First up, all 3DS, Wii U, and web services that involve logging in with a Nintendo Network ID will be offline on Monday, March 7th from noon to 4:00 PM Pacific Time. Then, from 4:00 – 5:00 PM the same day, all 3DS online services will be down. From 4:00 – 6:00 on that same day, the 3DS and Wii U eShops will be unavailable. Later that night, 3DS online functions will be unavailable from 9:00 PM until 1:00 AM on March 8th. All Wii U and 3DS online services will be down again on March 8th from 4:00 PM until 6:30 PM, and
Super Mario Maker will be offline starting at 10:50 PM on the 8th and lasting until 1:00 AM on the 9th. Finally, Pokémon Shuffle will be offline starting at 11:00 PM on March 9th and lasting until 1:00 AM on March 10th.
