We are barely a week away from the western release of Hyrule Warriors Legends on Nintendo 3DS. With an expanded story, a wider cast of playable characters, and upcoming DLC predominantly themed after classic handheld Zelda installments, many fans now have enough incentive to pick up the handheld port of the 2014 Wii U original and play Hyrule Warriors on the go.

With the recent news of the game’s upcoming DLC, which will be distributed in waves throughout the year, Nintendo UK unveiled the cost of each separate pack and the overall season pass so players would have a better idea as to what the damage to their wallets would be. Now, Nintendo of America has followed suit
via the game’s own website and revealed just how much the extra content for Hyrule Warriors Legends will cost in the United States and Canada.

Each different DLC pack is priced as follows, split between their 3DS, Wii U, and dual-console costs:

Pack #1 (Late Spring 2016) – Master Wind Waker Pack

  • 3DS only: $0.99 USD / $1.39 CAD

Pack #2 (Summer 2016) – Link’s Awakening Pack

  • 3DS: $6.99 USD / $9.89 CAD
  • Wii U: $4.99 USD / $7.09 CAD
  • Wii U / 3DS – $9.99 USD / $14.09 CAD

Pack #3 (Fall 2016) – Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks Pack

  • 3DS: $6.99 USD / $9.89 CAD
  • Wii U: $4.99 USD / $7.09 CAD
  • Wii U / 3DS: $9.99 USD / $14.09 CAD

Pack #4 (Winter 2016) – A Link Between Worlds Pack

  • 3DS: $6.99 USD / $9.89 CAD
  • Wii U: $4.99 USD / $7.09 CAD
  • Wii U / 3DS: $9.99 USD / $14.09 CAD

Season Pass

  • 3DS: $14.99 USD / – $21.19 CAD
  • Wii U: $9.99 USD / $14.09 CAD
  • Wii U / 3DS: $19.99 USD / $28.19 CAD

Legends Character Pack

  • Wii U only: $12.99 USD / $18.39 CAD

It’s no secret that the Canadian dollar has waned terribly over the past few years (down to $0.77 USD at the time of writing), so the total DLC cost will hit fellow Canucks the hardest once
Hyrule Warriors Legends drops this Friday.

That said, are your wallets better prepared now that you know the cost of this upcoming DLC? Do you plan on investing in the game’s extra content once it starts rolling out? Give us your thoughts in the comments!
