As part of the recent Ludem Dare 36 game jam, ASMB Games created a hilarious crossover game in just 72 hours. No Mario’s Sky gives players an infinite amount of randomly generated Mario planets and a spaceship to travel between them. But you all know what’s coming next. As has been the case with nearly all Nintendo-related fan projects in recent months, No Mario’s Sky was quickly hit with a DMCA takedown notice by Nintendo.

Despite the legal action from Nintendo, ASMB Games won’t be held down, and they’ve issued a rebuttal to Nintendo in the form of a new game. With a few simple edits to the game’s name, text, tiles, and sprites, No Mario’s Sky has been reborn as “DMCA’s Sky.” With Mario off the table, DMCA’s Sky players will “help Spaceman Finn search for Princess Mango in an infinite universe (that may contain no Mangoes).” You can try it out for yourself by clicking the source link below.
