Following the Nintendo Switch presentation, many third party developers expressed interest in developing games for Nintendo’s newest console. Capcom was one of many developers who praised the Nintendo Switch and stated that they had interest in bringing their games to the console. Despite their excitement, the Resident Evil series does not appear to be one of them. According to Producer Masachika Kawata, there are no plans to bring Resident Evil to Nintendo Switch anytime soon.

“I think it’s a very unique piece of hardware…I’m looking forward to the possibilities of the system itself, but we have no plans at the moment regarding Resident Evil on Switch.” — Masachika Kawata

Resident Evil VII: Biohazard is scheduled to launch tomorrow for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The Nintendo Switch will be available worldwide on March 3rd.
