After a lengthy delay, Nintendo finally launched Nintendo Switch Online back in September. The paid service gives Switch owners the ability to play games online and use cloud saves, and it also gives them access to a digital library of classic NES games. The service launched with 20 playable NES titles, and Nintendo has been rolling more out on a monthly basis.

The next batch of games releases next week, and it includes a famously challenging game from Tecmo. That’s right,
Ninja Gaiden is coming to Nintendo Switch! Unfortunately, it’s just the first game for now, so you’ll have to wait on the sequels. Alongside Ninja Gaiden, Wario’s Woods and Adventures of Lolo are also set to join the service next Wednesday.

So far, Nintendo Switch Online only includes NES titles, but Nintendo is
committed to improving the service over time. Additionally, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime has repeatedly pivoted to talking about the service when asked questions about SNES and Nintendo 64 games, so hopefully we’ll see the library expand to other classic consoles in the near future.
