Just over a week ago, we reported on the story that Wii U production is set to end this month. This report came from three different sources, including industry insiders Liam Robertson and Emily Rogers as well as Eurogamer. A Nintendo representative declared the report false the next day, but we speculated that they were playing coy. Now just a week later, they’ve updated the official Wii U website in Japan to note that production is ending “soon” in that region. We don’t have confirmation regarding other regions at this time, but it looks like Wii U is just about done in Japan.
