The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is coming next year to both the Wii U and Nintendo’s new system, code named “NX.” While the NX version was absent from E3 2016, Nintendo of America’s Scott Moffitt said the game will be an “immediate reason game fans will want to buy the hardware.”

Moffitt added a note about Nintendo’s plan for the console, saying that it’s important for the company to clearly explain to fans what the system’s purpose is, and that the main goal is to make content that is fun, immersive, and puts a smile on families’ faces. He explained that third parties will be interested in the system if Nintendo creates a large install base with their own original content.

What do you guys think? Will you be buying the new Zelda title on the Wii U or the NX? Let us know in the comments below!

Our Verdict

Writing is half of my life. Video games make up the other half. I decided to put these two hobbies together and join Gamnesia back in 2015. I spend most of my time working at a retail store and paying off my student debt. When I'm not getting stressed about the thousands of dollars I owe my loan providers, I play tons of video games (which just puts me into more debt). I'm also currently writing a novel in what little spare time I have. It's a story I've been wanting to write for a while, but I don't want to talk about it until I have most of it completed. Any Gamnesia-related inquiries may be sent to [email protected] Feel free to follow my personal Twitter if you want (@Pindlo). I mostly just retweet things.
