One of the things many Bethesda fans were hoping to hear about at their E3 press conference was anything concerning The Elder Scrolls VI. It’s only natural that gamers would want a new entry in the series, since Skyrim initially released nearly six years ago. Unfortunately, Pete Hines of Bethesda dashed the hopes and dreams of many RPG fans, confirming that the game isn’t even in development yet.

“They have at least two major titles they are working on before we’re going to get to Elder Scrolls VI,” Hines said a few nights ago, referring to Elder Scrolls developer Bethesda Game Studios. As such, it sounds like we won’t see another game from the series outside of The Elder Scrolls Online for at least a few more years. For the time being, Elder Scrolls fans will just have to buy more ports of Skyrim.

What do you guys think of this? When do you think we’ll hear about The Elder Scrolls VI? Let us know in the comments below!

Writing is half of my life. Video games make up the other half. I decided to put these two hobbies together and join Gamnesia back in 2015. I spend most of my time working at a retail store and paying off my student debt. When I'm not getting stressed about the thousands of dollars I owe my loan providers, I play tons of video games (which just puts me into more debt). I'm also currently writing a novel in what little spare time I have. It's a story I've been wanting to write for a while, but I don't want to talk about it until I have most of it completed. Any Gamnesia-related inquiries may be sent to [email protected] Feel free to follow my personal Twitter if you want (@Pindlo). I mostly just retweet things.
