Blizzard’s Overwatch has received another patch recently to its Public Test Realm (a sort of testing grounds for new features before they are pushed to the main version of the game). This patch fixes several bugs, adds some new features, and, perhaps most importantly, gives tiny buffs to Widowmaker, Junkrat, and Ana.
The general updates included features such as changes to hero voice lines, allowing pausing of custom games, and the addition of static cameras to spectator mode. However, the more interesting changes are in relation to the heroes’ abilities themselves. Widowmaker’s scoping animation has been reduced from 0.5 to 0.3 seconds, meaning that players can now “quickscope” more easily, thus making her a more viable hero to pick. Additionally, Junkrat’s Riptire ultimate ability now activates faster, while Ana’s biotic grenade has had a minor radius boost.
