For the past couple of months, Persona fans have been patiently waiting for February 14th to come around. ATLUS had been slowly releasing videos with new details about Persona 5‘s story as well as information about the English voice actors to tide people over. Unfortunately, Persona fans will have to wait a bit longer. Earlier today, ATLUS announced that they had to push back the release of Persona 5 to April 4, 2017. ATLUS USA President Naoto Hiraoka explains that the delay was to ensure the English release of Persona 5 “reaches the same bar set by the Japanese release.”
It wasn’t all bad news, as ATLUS revealed that the Japanese audio for Persona 5 will be a free download when the game launches on April 4th. To tide fans over, ATLUS also provided a Persona 5 theme that you can download for PS4. The theme will only be available until the end of November 17th.
