Players who buy Super Mario Maker will not be able to access all of the game’s editing tools from the get-go. Instead, the toolkit gradually gets larger and larger over the course of nine days. This isn’t the nine days after the game launches either. Instead, the countdown begins once the player activates the game. Nintendo wants players to master the tools they have available at the start and build on that foundation. Leaving all assets immediately available could overwhelm new players and limit their creativity.

I wish there was an option to have them all available from the start, but nine days is hardly a huge window. What do you think about this process?

Jackson Murphy is eighteen years old. He is a dumb college student that you would probably hate.
