Pokémon GO launched with the ability to track wild Pokémon, but it proved to be glitchy and developer Niantic later removed it. The app went several months without any tracking features, but Niantic has since created the new “Nearby Pokémon” feature, and they’ve slowly been rolling it out in more territories around the world.

If the feature hasn’t been available in your area up until now, you might want to check again. Niantic has just announced that the Nearby Pokémon feature is now available almost everywhere. They’ve also made some minor changes to it based on fan feedback, and they’ll continue to do so going forward. If you stopped playing
Pokémon GO sometime after launch, will this be enough to draw you back in?
