Last month, Nintendo pulled the games VVVVVV and Citizens of Earth off of the 3DS eShop due to vulnerabilities in the games which allowed hackers to run unsigned code on the console. Now it looks like there’s another game being exploited for homebrew applications, and this time it’s one of Nintendo’s own.
A video on Twitter shows a homebrewer using the free-to-play title Pokémon Picross to gain access to the Homebrew Launcher on his 3DS. The video was released five days ago, and as of the time of writing the game is still available for download on the eShop; however, the game may be removed from the eShop like previously-exploited titles when Nintendo catches wind.
So yeah I think it is working. pic.twitter.com/mQHzKHDi7H
