The Pokémon franchise is all about traveling the world and collecting as many Pokémon as you can get your hands on, but after you’ve caught six, you have to start boxing them away in a PC. Wouldn’t it be great if your boxed Pokémon could still contribute to your progress and have some fun instead of being cooped up? Well thanks to Pokémon Sun & Moon‘s new Poké Pelago feature, that dream is a reality!
Instead of simply stashing your Pokémon away, Poké Pelago lets them explore a variety of tropical islands, each with their own unique benefits. If you drop off Pokémon at Isle Abeens, they can attract wild Pokémon to join your team. Send them to Isle Aphun, and they’ll search for rare and valuable items. You can even have them trained by dropping them off at Isle Evelup. Here’s a description of how this feature will work, straight from the official website.
Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, there’s a feature known as Poké Pelago, which Pokémon that have been placed in Boxes can enjoy. Poké Pelago consists of a variety of isles where Pokémon can go exploring, play on athletic equipment, and enjoy other fun activities. If you send many Pokémon to Poké Pelago, you can develop the facilities on your isles—and develop new kinds of isles as well. As these isles are developed and increase in number, you’ll be able to do things like obtain items or raise your Pokémon.”
Pokémon Sun and Moon will launch worldwide on November 18th for Nintendo 3DS.
