Update: According to Kotaku, this “glitch” is only happening to people who use the save editing tool PKHeX. This is apparently a known glitch in the program itself that has since been patched out. Serebii is currently investigating the situation to see if the glitch occurs under normal circumstances.
Original article: Millions of gamers are currently exploring the Alola region in Pokémon Sun and Moon, but some are running into trouble. Many players have encountered a glitch that makes the player’s model and all of the bottom screen menus fail to load, making that save file unplayable, and there doesn’t appear to be a fix for the glitch at this time.
Serebii, the glitch can be triggered by saving in Pokémon Centers or the Battle Tree, so you’ll want to avoid doing so. Hopefully Game Freak comes up with a fix soon, but in the meantime, you can see the effects of the glitch in a video by clicking above.
