Ghostbusters and video games have a history together as long as the film franchise itself. It appears that relationship will continue, based on information released by Retail Merchandiser. The article states that merchandising for the new film began early in the film-making process, and part of the merchandising is a new Ghostbusters game from Activision. However, Activision has not confirmed the game yet, and the report does not state if the game will be centered around the upcoming reboot or a continuation of the positively received (and one hell of a great time) 2009 Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Though the original writers and actors of the film returned for that game, the report does not say whether anyone from the Ghostbusters film franchise will be associated with this project.

Alan Wake changed my life forever. I'm not afraid to admit my undying love for Animal Crossing. I plan to devote my life to writing and art. I have been playing video games since about the age of three and they have stayed my greatest passion. I began writing in high school through poetry and became interested in writing as a career going into college. I hope you enjoy reading what I post and to keep up with me follow me on Twitter or Instagram @artisticishalex. Peace.
