Pokémon GO has launched in select countries (including the United States and Australia), and the response from fans has been overwhelming. So many people are playing the mobile game that the servers have been consistently overloaded. Unfortunately, this means that developer Niantic had to put Pokémon GO‘s global launch on pause, but the wait shouldn’t be too much longer. The Wall Street Journal spoke with “people familiar with plans for the game,” and they were told that it’s expected to roll out in Europe, Japan, and other Asian nations “within a few days.” Hopefully the servers will be able to handle the increased traffic.
