About a week ago, we reported on a rumor that Nintendo is only giving out NX development kits to a select group of close second-party and third-party partners at this time. This report came from YouTuber “SuperMetaldave64,” and he claims that his source is a developer that’s working on a PlayStation 4 game and looking to release it on NX as well.
This initial rumor has now been followed up with more details, as the developer has apparently revealed more information. According to the new report, the developer’s game runs on Unreal Engine 4, and they’ve been assured by Nintendo that NX will support the popular graphics engine; Wii U did not. The developer also claimed that Nintendo is giving out Software Development Kits to companies on the waiting list for an NX development kit (they’re still being stingy with the development kits themselves, apparently) so that developers can begin working. As with all rumors, this story is unconfirmed at this point in time and should be taken with a grain of salt. You can check out the video breakdown by clicking above.
