Runbow is an action-racing-brawler hybrid unlike many that came before, launching as a Wii U-exclusive in August last year. Developed by Toronto-based 13AM Games, this indie title was a hit with players at home before release thanks to the [email protected] program, and with a roster packed with indie guest stars, an unprecedented 9-player setup, and an incredibly funky soundtrack, it is easy to see why Runbow is a veritable gem of a game on the eShop.

The fun doesn’t end there, however, as 13AM Games has revealed that downloadable content for
Runbow is on its way this Thursday. Coming to the game are four new costume packs for Val and Hue, a new mode called “Satura’s Space Adventure” which stars the game’s villainess in her own playable campaign, and Lilac from GalaxyTrail’s Freedom Planet as a new guest character.

The costume packs are priced at $1.99 apiece save for the Winter Pack, and the new game mode will cost a good $6.99. However, you can opt to buy all of the DLC at a discounted rate of $12.99 with the Extra Val-Hue Bundle, and all of this comes with new stages in multiplayer mode. As for Lilac, she can be downloaded for the low, low price of free of charge! Those looking to invest in
Runbow can also pick up the game for 25% off, with the sale lasting from April 14th to the 28th.

The DLC reveal came with the announcement of new
Runbow merchandise available now: a themed shirt and tanktop on Sanshee, and volume 2 of the game’s soundtrack via Bandcamp.
