The Good Smile Company, a Japanese toy manufacturer that makes a popular series of action figures known as Figma figures, just revealed its next product through a display at New York Comic Con. The newest Figma figure is a statuette of Samus Aran, with her design from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, the last game in the Metroid Prime trilogy. Not much is known about the figure itself; the Good Smile Company has not scheduled an official release date for it, nor have they provided details about its size and build. However, the company has provided a series of high-quality images of the figure on its official Tumblr blog and has confirmed that the figure will be available for preorder sometime soon.
The Samus Aran figure we see here is still just a prototype; several aspects about its design might be changed before its release. Because of this, the model on display hasn’t been painted, so we don’t really know what the final version will look like. However, after GoNintendo published an article about the figure yesterday morning, a few fans created a mock-up of the final product by adding color to the image in PhotoShop. The original image, as well as the fan mock-up with the added color, can be seen in the gallery below.
