Last July, beloved Nintendo President Satoru Iwata tragically passed away at the age of 55. The video game industry came together as one, with developers, executives, and fans from around the world coming forward to mourn his loss and to celebrate his life by sharing stories of how he touched their lives.

Iwata was recently honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards at both
D.I.C.E. and the Golden Joysticks, and last night he was honored at Game Developers Conference 2016 with a touching animation made by Raber Umphenour, Shawne Benson, Braid artist David Hellman, and Chris Kohler. You can watch the tribute by clicking above.
