Sea of Thieves had a mediocre response at launch, but Microsoft and Rare are working to craft new improvements and additions to the game that will make it a far better experience. This was confirmed today at Microsoft’s E3 press conference, where they unveiled the details and release windows for two new expansions to the game, dubbed “Cursed Sails” and “Forsaken Shores.”
The trailer shows off some cinematic hints at what is on its way, with the Forsaken Shores being described as a new land covered in fire and ash, while the Cursed Sails seems to refer to new ships that will appear on the high seas manned entirely by undead, skeletal pirates. The
Cursed Sails expansion will be releasing this July, and Forsaken Shores will follow it in September. You can check out the trailer for yourself up above!
