The past year has been quite hectic for Sonic the Hedgehog. With Sonic turning 25 this year, SEGA is pulling out all the stops to celebrate this momentous occasion. Earlier today, SEGA announced that they will be holding a Sonic 25th anniversary party on June 25th at Tokyo Joyopolis, and it will be broadcast live on channels like YouTube, Niconico, and Abema TV. For those of you who plan on tuning in, Takashi Iizuka and other prominent Sonic Team members will host a talk about the series.
Guests who attend the party will be able to play the demo version of Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice and get autographs from the Sonic Team. Entry packages will also be available, and they’ll include cool swag like a limited edition Sonic 25th Anniversary Collector’s Coin, t-shirt, towel, bottle, and more.
