A recurring gag during the Sonic Official livestreams has been a demand for a Sonic the Hedgehog brand toaster—and little did we know it, but SEGA intended for that wish to come true. Last month, SEGA of America announced that the unlikely piece of kitchenware would enter production if they could secure enough buyers, with a deadline set for July 12th.

One thousand units had to be preordered in order to secure SEGA’s odd return to the hardware business, and that has now happened. The Sonic toasters are now a very real, official, limited edition piece of merchandise you can buy with your hard-earned money. Each toaster costs $34.95 USD and is available throughout the Americas and most of continental Europe. It is expected to ship on October 1st.

If you want to own this specially themed “Gotta Toast Fast” kitchen appliance for yourself, be sure to pick one up now and make it part of your balanced breakfasts while it’s still available.
