I bet many gamers were really excited to play the popular downloadable title Shovel Knight on either their Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, or PC. Unfortunately, you will have to bury those dreams of playing it at the end of March—the wait will sadly be a little longer. The developer behind Shovel Knight, Yacht Club Games, have confirmed that the game will miss its March 31st “by a few weeks” release date so they can polish up the overall experience on all platforms.

“This isn’t a major delay, or a long one; it’s simply a stretch of time
to get everything polished and aligned. While major
development is quickly drawing to a close, there are still some
external factors, like submission preparation, which need a little bit
more breathing room before the game goes live.”

My Take

Well, at least it isn’t being pushed back to next year. I respect that they want to make sure every version of the game comes out of the gates with no issues. I just hope it is worth the $15 or so price tag. However, from what I have personally seen, I bet it will be worth every penny.

What do you all think of this?
