While there was no mention of a new installment in the Elder Scrolls franchise, gamers could at least take solace in that the critically acclaimed Skyrim would receive a much-needed graphical facelift in the Skyrim Special Edition, which is coming out to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28th this year. In addition, Bethesda revealed via Twitter that if you’re a PC gamer and own either Skyrim Legendary Edition or the original game with all of its add-ons on Steam, you will receive Skyrim Special Edition for free!
