A new generation of consoles means more power and features to work with, and this often prompts developers to remaster popular games and collections from previous generations. This trend seems to be especially prevalent in the current generation, with Sony working on remastered versions of games like God of War and Uncharted. Sony has previously stated that they remaster games because 40% of PlayStation 4 owners did not own a PlayStation 3, and SCEE President Jim Ryan echoed those sentiments. According to Ryan, it’s very likely that the remasters are going to keep coming.
“We know that there are lots of PS4 owners that have either never played games before or used to have an Xbox or a Nintendo who have never had the chance to play something like the Uncharted trilogy. But it has to be a great game if we’re going to go to the trouble of re-mastering. I can’t talk specifically, but I think that it’s very likely that there’ll be more.”

It looks like we can expect more remasters, but only for “great” games. What games would you like to see reborn on PlayStation 4?
