Though it’s already possible to link a DualShock 4 controller to a PC with the help of third party devices, Sony has yet to offer an official adapter. That may change soon, since the company has certified a “wireless adapter” with the Federal Communications Commission. This device could be an adapter that allows DualShock 4 controllers to connect with a PC because it has the CUH product code that is associated with the PlayStation 4 and its accessories.
The device is listed as a Bluetooth transceiver and has a five-volt power supply, but other than that we don’t have any confirmed information yet. If it indeed is a device allowing DualShock 4 controllers to connect with a PC, it would show Sony embracing cross-platform play more, but let’s not forget it could be something else entirely too. Sony still has to reveal more information about the PlayStation 4 Neo for example, so this device could just as easily be something pertaining to that.
What do you think? Will this device link DualShock controllers to PCs, or is its purpose something else entirely? Let us know in the comments below!
