Following a myriad of issues caused by Firmware Update 2.00, Sony has launched Update 2.01 for PlayStation 4 in hopes of fixing stability issues that have plagued players over the past week — specifically, a problem where the console would not turn back on when placed in rest mode.

The 217.2MB update can be accessed through Settings>System Software Update on PSN. Those who have set their consoles to update in rest mode will receive the update automatically.

Were you affected by bugs in Sony’s 2.00 update? Hopefully this fixes the issue with rest mode and persistent YouTube crashes.

Our Verdict

Joel Palermo
Hi everyone, my name is Joel and I'm a huge fan of all different genres of videos games. Specifically, I love horror video games, so expect to see a few articles from time to time about the more grotesque and stomach-churning side of the gaming industry. I also love making music and working on YouTube videos from time to time for my channel. My content is definitely random, but if you find something to your liking, don't be afraid to mention it to me on Twitter or my channel.
